How to Unlock the Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2

How to Unlock the Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2

After you reach Ward 13 in Remnant 2, you’ll meet different NPCs and merchants because it’s the game’s central hub.

One of these NPCs is Wallace, who lets you choose your starting Archetype. If you’re unsure which class to pick, refer to our guide on which is the best Starting Archetype.

However, there are more classes to unlock as you advance in the game.

The Engineer Archetype, especially, has captured players’ attention and is quite interesting.

Another Archetype that is driving the Remnant community crazy is the secret Archon Archetype.

How to Unlock the Engineer Class

To unlock the Engineer Archetype, you have to craft and equip the Drzyr Caliper Engram.

Before you can do this, you’ll need to find the Alien Device and Craft the Drzyr Caliper.

Unfortunately, this can be tricky so here are the steps to help you do it:

1. Find the Alien Device

The Alien Device is required to craft the Drzyr Caliper Engram.

It can be found on the second N’Erud map, regardless of your starting point.

If you begin in the Forgotten Prions, you’ll find it in The Eon Vault during the N’Erud storyline. If you start at the Seeker’s Rest, you’ll find it in the Timeless Horizon area.

2. Craft the Drzyr Caliper

After obtaining the Alien Device, bring it back to Wallace at Ward 13.

In order to craft the Drzyr Caliper, you’ll also need 10 Lumenite Crystal and 1000 Scrap.

3. Equip the Drzyr Caliper Engram

Once you’ve crafted the Drzyr Caliper, equip the Engram to unlock the Engineer Archetype.

Keep in mind, the game randomly generates the locations, but you can always find the Alien Device on the second N’Erud map.
