Skyblivion is an ambitious fan-made project that aims to bring The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to the modern gaming era by recreating it using Skyrim’s game engine.

The Skyrim Remake and the Oblivion Remake are two other names that are being used for the project.

Skyblivion Release Date

The release date for Skyblivion is 2025.

There have been numerous substantial delays since the project’s initial release date in 2018. Revisions to the game’s scope, and rising fan expectations was the primary reason for these delays.

Given the extended production period and postponed release date, no additional delays are anticipated.

In fact, the developers have stated that they “can promise a 2025 release at the latest”.

Is Skyblivion Finished?

No, Skyblivion isn’t finished. However, the project is getting close to completion.

Will Skyblivion Be Available on PS5/Xbox?

No, Skyblivion won’t be available on console on either PS5 or Xbox.

Skyblivion makes extensive use of the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) which is a PC exclusive program.

Will Skyblivion Be Free?

Skyblivion will be completely free to play, but the developers require that users own a valid copy of Oblivion.

“Remaking Oblivion in the Skyrim engine is what we set out to do when we started the Skyblivion project,” says the lead developer on the project, K Rebel.

The Skyblivion project has been in development since 2012.
