In Elden Ring, the process of leveling up can be initially perplexing.

Unlike other games where it is straightforward, the method to upgrade your character’s stats is not immediately apparent.

In order to have the ability to level up your character’s attributes, you first need to unlock it.

Leveling up in Elden Ring

In order to level up in Elden Ring, you must first accept Melina’s offer to become your maiden.

This offer is available after resting at one of the two designated Sites of Grace: Agheel Lake North or Gatefront.

Once you have accepted Melina’s offer, you will unlock the ability to level up.

In order to do so, select the “Level Up” option while resting at any Site of Grace.

If you initially refused Melina’s offer, there is no need to worry; she will offer again at every Site of Grace you visit.

This ensures you will not miss out on the opportunity to level up and progress your character.

It’s essential to have an understanding of which stats are most suited to your particular build and it is therefore recommended to take a look at the best stats to level up in Elden Ring.

In case you find yourself wanting to change your character’s build, or if you come across a new weapon that requires different attribute requirements, you won’t have to start a new game to do this.
