How to Evolve Salandit Into Salazzle in Pokemon GO

How to Evolve Salandit Into Salazzle in Pokemon GO

Salandit is a tough Pokemon to get in the world of Pokemon GO.

Its evolution, Salazzle, is even harder, making it one of the hardest, and therefore rarest, Pokemon in the game.

Unfortunately, getting Salazzle isn’t as easy as simply getting a Salandit. There’s more to it which we outline below.

How to Get Salandit

Salandit and Salazzle
To get Salazzle in Pokemon GO you must have a female Salandit…

Currently, the only way you can get Salandit is by hatching a 12km Egg.

These 12km Eggs or Strange Eggs can only be obtained by challenging any of the Team Go Rocket Leaders and defeating them.

After defeating Arlo, Cliff, or Sierra, ensure you still have space in your Egg Storage to receive a 12km Egg.

However, getting the Egg does not guarantee a Salandit. There are other Pokemon in the 12km egg pool including Larvitar, Skorupi, Skrelp – to name a few.

So, you may have to defeat several Team GO Rocket Leaders before you’re lucky enough to hatch one.

If you need further help with this, we have guides that will help you defeat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra.

How to Get Salazzle

If you get a Salandit, your next challenge is to evolve it into a Salazzle. This can be time-consuming as you need 50 Salandit Candy to do it.

That’s not all, though, and this is where getting Salazzle is tricky.

Only female Salandits can evolve into a Salazzle, and there is only a 12.5% chance of hatching one.

That means, on average, you’ll need to hatch 8 Salandit to get a female one.

If you combine that with the odds of getting Salandit in the first place, that’s a lot of 12km eggs to hatch!

That is why Salazzle is one of the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO.

One Pokemon that’s even harder to get is all 18 forms of Vivillion.

If you’re a Pokemon GO completionist then that’s a challenge we’d recommend you embark upon.
